FLINT, Mich. (WJRT) — The Dort Event Center in Flint hosted the Tattoo City Tattoo Convention this weekend, bringing together a vibrant community of artists, collectors, and enthusiasts.
The event, which ran throughout the weekend, aimed to foster creativity, entertainment, and community engagement. Dr. Carl Blasphemy, the convention’s host, highlighted the diversity and talent on display. “We’ve brought in several hundred artists from all over the world,” he said. “You’ll find some of the best local, national, and international artists here, along with familiar faces from TV shows like Black Ink Crew and Ink Master. There are also great vendors offering art, jewelry, clothing, and everything that complements the tattoo lifestyle—all under one roof here in Flint for this weekend.”
The convention featured over 200 top tattoo artists from across the country, showcasing their work to an eager audience. A major attraction of the event was the Best of Show Contest, where artists competed for a $10,000 prize awarded to the creator of the most outstanding tattoo.
The convention was a celebration of the art of tattooing, bringing together a diverse group of people to appreciate the creativity and skill involved in this unique form of expression.
