by Jessica

A Bengaluru tattoo artist, Ritesh Aghariya, 41, owner of Tattoo Sutra in central Bengaluru, has been booked by the police for allegedly tattooing derogatory remarks against the police on a client’s chest. The controversy arose when the artist himself posted a picture of the tattoo on social media.

The Cubbon Park police acted on their own initiative and filed a case under Section 352 of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS), citing intentional insult to police authorities. The complaint was lodged by Police Sub-Inspector Chethan S G, who also serves as the social media in-charge at Cubbon Park police station.
