Carlos Alcaraz is considering adding another tattoo to commemorate his latest triumph, despite concerns from his parents. Following his victory at the 2024 Wimbledon Championships, the Spanish tennis star plans to mark the occasion with ink, a tradition he started after winning his first major at the US Open in 2022. Alcaraz had previously hinted at a tattoo following his French Open win last year but has now set his sights on a new design.
During an interview on Tennis Channel after his Wimbledon victory, Alcaraz mentioned that while he has his parents’ approval for tattoos after major wins, they might have reservations this time. Reflecting on his achievement in defeating Novak Djokovic in the final, he humorously acknowledged potential discussions with his parents about the significance of his second consecutive Wimbledon triumph.
In 2022, after claiming the US Open and finishing as the world’s top-ranked player, Alcaraz got his first tattoo—a date commemorating his victory—above his left elbow. Plans to tattoo the Eiffel Tower on his left ankle after winning the French Open were announced but not yet realized.
Despite his parents’ concerns, Alcaraz is determined to proceed with his tattoo plans. With three Grand Slam titles under his belt, including two consecutive Wimbledons, he’s already considering designs for future victories, such as the Olympics and potentially the Australian Open.
