DAVENPORT, Iowa- Cryptic Visions, a tattoo shop in downtown Davenport, is honoring Matt Moody, a cherished member of the QC theater community, by offering special tattoos in his memory.
Matt Moody, a key figure at the Village Theatre, passed away two weeks ago.
“I wanted to do something to help the community grieve and remember him,” said Tetra Tormenta, the owner of Cryptic Visions.
Tormenta designed a simple, recognizable tattoo in Moody’s honor.
“It’s a top hat and glasses,” she explained. “It’s a perfect symbol of Matt. When people see it, they immediately think of him.”
Tormenta, who knew Moody personally, shared her feelings about his loss.
“Losing him has been incredibly hard. He was amazing, and the world feels a bit dimmer without him,” she said. “Doing these tattoos has been a healing process for me and for others. I’ve even tattooed his wife and kids, which has brought them some comfort.”
Since opening her shop ten days ago, Tormenta has tattooed nearly 30 people with the Moody design and has appointments scheduled for 30 to 40 more until November.
The memorial tattoos for Matt Moody are still available at Cryptic Visions.
