Lindsay Lohan is making a return to the screen, filming a sequel to her hit comedy “Freaky Friday.” The former child actress recently shared a radiant selfie, showcasing her tattoos and joyful demeanor.
In the photo, Lindsay’s right arm is visible with calligraphy on her forearm and two interlocked red triangles on her upper arm. She wore a blue and white floral outfit with a high neckline, highlighting her shoulders and arms. The light in the room accentuated her features perfectly.
The 37-year-old actress captioned the selfie with two butterfly emojis and a heart emoji. Fans quickly expressed their excitement, with one commenting, “You look incredible! I’m so happy for you and can’t wait for the Freaky Friday sequel!”
Lindsay and Jamie Lee Curtis had previously expressed interest in a sequel to their 2003 film, which tells the story of a mother and daughter who swap bodies. Disney has not yet released plot details, but filming has started, and the movie is set to premiere in theaters in 2025. The announcement came with the statement, “The Colemans are back and coming to theaters in 2025!”
Returning cast members include NCIS star Mark Harmon, Chad Michael Murray, Christina Vidal Mitchell, Haley Hudson, Lucille Soong, Stephen Tobolowsky, and Rosalind Chao. New additions to the cast are Julia Butters, Manny Jacinto, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, and Sophia Hammons.
Lindsay was an iconic figure in the early 2000s and has recently returned to the spotlight after living in Europe away from paparazzi. She married her longtime partner Badar Shammas in 2022, and they welcomed their son Luai in 2023.
In an exclusive interview with HELLO! in March 2024 at a Clarins event in Los Angeles, Lindsay shared advice from her co-star Jane Seymour: “She told me, ‘You always have to remember to just always put you first.'” Lindsay joked that she has taken this advice to heart, especially as a mother, and mentioned that her son is “doing great.”
