Sabrina Carpenter’s Minimalist Tattoo Collection

by Jessica

Sabrina Carpenter is poised to take over the summer with her latest endeavors. After the success of her hit song “Espresso,” the singer-songwriter is gearing up to release her sixth studio album, “Short n’ Sweet,” on August 23. She shared the cover art and release date on Instagram, also unveiling a new tattoo to celebrate the moment. For long-time fans, this is not surprising, as this latest tattoo is the fifth in Carpenter’s collection.

Carpenter’s tattoo journey began in 2020 with a simple yet meaningful script design that reads “lucky” on the back of her neck. Her collection has since grown, with each piece holding personal significance. Her tattoos are all minimalistic, fine-line designs placed in discreet locations like behind the ear, nape of the neck, and ribcage, making them easy to miss. Most of her tattoos have been done by LA-based celebrity tattoo artist Dr. Woo, known for his exquisite single-needle work.

Butterfly Ribcage Tattoo

In early 2022, Carpenter and her sister, Sarah, got matching butterfly tattoos on their left ribcages. Carpenter’s tattoo is in black ink, while her sister’s is in red. Dr. Woo crafted these tattoos, symbolizing renewal and transformation.

Heart Tattoo Behind Her Ear

Behind Carpenter’s left ear is a small horizontal heart outline in black ink, often difficult to spot in photos.

“Lucky” Neck Tattoo

Carpenter’s first tattoo, revealed in December 2020, is the word “lucky” in cursive on the right side of her neck. This tattoo signifies her gratitude for her life’s journey and career achievements, created by Dr. Woo.

Carpenter’s tattoos are a testament to her personal milestones and artistic expression, each piece small yet significant in its meaning.
