Artistic expression takes many forms, and for Jonnalea Gribble, it’s now embodied in her new business venture. Dream Wolf Arts LLC, situated at 503 Main St., replaces the former Dungeon Inc. Body Art Studio, marking a fresh chapter in the city’s art scene.
Gribble’s journey to entrepreneurship stems from a lifelong passion for creativity. From early childhood, she wielded pencils and pads with ease, nurturing her talent through adolescence in Fremont County. Despite venturing beyond her hometown, her affinity for art never waned.
Her artistic evolution led her to The Dungeon Inc. during her formative years, where she discovered a fascination with tattooing. Even during her time in the Army, stationed at Fort Carson, her artistic prowess shone through. Assigned to redesign her unit’s logo, she found avenues to cultivate her skills.
Returning to Fremont County in 2021, Gribble seized an opportunity to apprentice at The Dungeon Inc. under Richie Streate and Darcie Wige. Years of dedication paid off when she eventually took the reins of her own establishment following the duo’s relocation.
The transition to Dream Wolf isn’t just a change in name; it’s a continuation of Gribble’s artistic journey. Alongside shop manager Shane Lawson, she plans to expand services, including digital commissions and potentially body modifications, while upholding industry standards and regulations.
For Gribble, Dream Wolf isn’t just a business; it’s a platform to support local artists and preserve the essence of artistry in an increasingly digitized world. Her vision extends beyond mere commerce, aiming to foster community engagement through events like the Blossom and Music Festival and educational workshops.
In a landscape where technology threatens traditional art forms, Gribble’s endeavor stands as a testament to the enduring power of human creativity. As she realizes her dream, she hopes to inspire others to do the same, ensuring that art remains a vibrant and integral part of our lives.
