Brooke Shields recently revealed that she got matching tattoos with her daughters, Rowan and Grier Henchy, over Mother’s Day weekend. The iconic model shared the news on Instagram, posting photos of the minimalist designs.
“Matching tattoos with both of my girls. There’s nothing like being a mama,” Shields captioned the images.
The new tattoo with 18-year-old Grier was designed by artist Scott Campbell. He described the process on his Instagram, explaining how they arrived at the perfect concept: a minimalist illustration of a woman’s feet in high heels facing a child’s feet not quite fitting into the same shoes. Shields chose to have her tattoo on her forearm, while Grier’s is on her wrist. Grier also showcased a brick-red French manicure.
Shields also has a matching tattoo with her 20-year-old daughter, Rowan. They have ladybug tattoos on their wrist and ankle, respectively. Despite having had these tattoos for some time, they proudly displayed them at the premiere of Shields’s new Netflix movie, Mother of the Bride.
This heartwarming story of family bonding through matching tattoos might inspire others to consider a similar gesture with their loved ones.
