In a heartwarming display of camaraderie, Dance Moms alumni including JoJo Siwa, Brooke Hyland, and Kalani Hilliker reunited at the premiere of the forthcoming special Dance Moms: The Reunion, where they shared plans to immortalize their bond through matching tattoos.
The enduring impact of the show on its cast members was palpable, as they disclosed intentions to ink themselves in commemoration of their shared experiences on the series.
Speaking exclusively to E! News during the New York City premiere on April 25, Brooke Hyland revealed, “In a few hours, we’re going to get a tattoo. I think ‘DM’ is good. Just putting that out there.” She expressed an openness to the design, stating, “I’ll get whatever. I don’t care.”
Subsequently, on April 26, Brooke and Kalani Hilliker followed through on their pledge, sharing images of their new tattoos on their Instagram Stories. The tattoos featured “dm” scripted in lowercase, with Kalani opting for placement behind her ear and captioning her post, “DM forever with my girls,” while Brooke chose her middle finger as the spot for her ink.
The group explored various tattoo ideas, with Chloé Lukasiak suggesting dotted markings in the shape of a pyramid to represent their typical rankings on Dance Moms. Amidst laughter, Paige Hyland joked about her placement while JoJo Siwa expressed solidarity, proposing identical placements for all three.
Reflecting on her decision, JoJo Siwa highlighted the significance of the moment, noting that this would not be her first venture into sentimental tattoos. She shared her first tattoo experience from July 2023, which featured the number 1031 inked behind her right ear, symbolizing her JoJo Siwa D.R.E.A.M. The Tour and representing “how many days my first concert lasted,” alongside a personal nod to her birth year, 2003.
The exchange of tattoos among the Dance Moms stars stands as a poignant testament to the enduring bonds forged during their time on the show, marking a milestone in their shared journey beyond the confines of the dance floor.
