East Coast Tattoo Studio Reopens with Community Focus

by Jessica

East Coast Tattoo and Piercing Studio has officially opened its doors at a new location in Trenton, bringing with it a renewed focus on community, creativity, and healing.

Owner Isabelle Payan, who relocated to Quinte West from Nova Scotia in 2011 seeking a new beginning for herself and her children, describes the move as deeply personal.

“This town gave me a second chance at life, and now I want to give back by creating a space where art meets healing,” said Payan. “Opening East Coast Tattoo is more than a dream—it’s my way of keeping talent local and helping people reclaim their bodies and stories.”

The studio offers high-quality custom tattoos and professional body piercings in an inclusive, welcoming environment. Payan’s partner, Paul—also an artist—contributes to the studio’s growth and supports its community-driven mission.

Beyond its services, East Coast Tattoo is actively engaged in outreach initiatives. The studio collaborates with Victim Services and survivors of human trafficking to remove unwanted tattoos, offering support through a trauma-informed approach.

Each November, the studio pauses regular appointments to host INKED for Three Oaks, a week-long fundraiser supporting the Three Oaks Foundation during Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The cause is particularly meaningful for Payan, a survivor of domestic violence herself.

East Coast Tattoo and Piercing Studio is located at 238 Dundas Street East, Trenton, and is open Tuesday to Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
