Jessica Alba made a striking appearance at a movie screening in Miami on Sunday, showcasing a new tattoo she got after filing for divorce from her husband, Cash Warren. The 43-year-old Honest Company founder revealed the fine-line ink on her arm, which reads: “Life is transformation is life.” Alba enlisted renowned tattoo artist Daniel ‘Winterstone’ Winter to create the design on February 26, shortly after she filed for divorce from Warren.
Dressed in a navy-blue vest top and matching wide-leg trousers, Alba bared both arms to highlight the tattoo. She accessorized with white pumps and a bucket bag styled by Dani Michelle. Completing her look, the actress wore her signature brunette hair down and sported white sunglasses, keeping her makeup minimal for the event.
Alba, who shares three children—daughter Honor, 16; daughter Haven, 13; and son Hayes, 7—with Warren, filed for divorce on February 7 after a brief separation. In a statement in January, she reflected on her journey of self-realization and transformation, both individually and in her marriage. “I’m proud of how we’ve grown in our marriage over the last 20 years, and it’s now time for us to embark on a new chapter of growth and evolution as individuals,” she said. “Our children remain our highest priority, and we request privacy at this time.”
Despite the split, the couple, who did not sign a prenuptial agreement, remains amicable. Both have requested joint physical and legal custody of their children, and sources describe their relationship as “extremely amicable.”
Alba is currently focusing on her career, co-executive producing and co-hosting the third season of Honest Renovations, a series renewed by The Roku Channel in August. She will also star as Chiara Rossini in Bobby Moresco’s upcoming sports car biopic Maserati: The Brothers, alongside Anthony Hopkins, Andy Garcia, and Michele Morrone.
In Miami, Alba attended the screening of Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Road Trip to support her friend Eva Longoria Bastón. The two spent the weekend celebrating Longoria’s 50th birthday, including a lavish yacht party on Saturday night with celebrity guests such as Grammy-winning salsa star Marc Anthony.
Alba shared her appreciation for Longoria on Instagram, calling her “a force” and praising her as “endlessly inspiring, multi-hyphenate, hilarious, generous, real, full of life, and the ultimate #Chingona.” She added, “Cheers to another lap around the sun! Besos!”
Longoria, who recently directed Alba in a psychological thriller pilot called Confessions on the 7:45, has not yet confirmed whether Hulu has picked up the series for production.
As for Alba, she may soon celebrate her rumored boyfriend, Emmy-winning writer and comedian Alex Edelman’s 36th birthday this Thursday.
