Matty Healy’s latest tattoo has sparked a frenzy among Taylor Swift fans, who are reading between the lines of the rocker’s new ink. On March 12, the 35-year-old singer revealed a tattoo on his knuckles: his fiancée Gabbriette Bechtel’s nickname in a typewriter font.
While Healy likely intended it as a sweet tribute to Bechtel, Swifties quickly connected the typewriter font to Swift. Fans pointed out that Swift’s song The Tortured Poets Department, believed to be about her brief romance with Healy, mentions a typewriter. Swifties flooded the tattoo artist’s TikTok with lyrics from the song, joking and expressing disbelief at the font choice.
While some fans couldn’t help but speculate about the connection to Swift, others defended Healy and Bechtel’s relationship, commenting that the tattoo was simply a gesture of love between two people.
This isn’t the first time Swifties have linked Healy’s actions to Swift’s music. After Healy got engaged to Bechtel in June 2024, fans drew comparisons to lyrics from Tortured Poets, further fueling speculation about the ex-couple’s dynamic.
