Baltimore Ravens superfan Nic Cullison celebrated his team’s victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Saturday’s wild-card playoff by adding a new tattoo to his collection.
Cullison, who has been commemorating every Ravens win since September 2021 with tattoos, marked the Ravens’ 28-14 victory at M&T Bank Stadium with a fresh piece of ink. His wife, Naomi, designed the tattoo, which reads “Lamazing,” a nod to quarterback Lamar Jackson’s impressive performance, including two touchdown passes and 81 rushing yards. Cullison plans to add another tattoo after next week’s AFC divisional round game against the Buffalo Bills.
The Ravens are now just three wins away from securing their third Super Bowl title in franchise history.
A Tradition Begins
Cullison first caught the attention of WJZ in 2021 when he began his unique tradition of tattooing each Ravens victory on his body. By January 2024, Cullison had accumulated 30 tattoos, including one for the Ravens’ wild-card win over Houston.
What started as a joke has since turned into a full-fledged tradition. “Originally, the first tattoo was just one tattoo,” Cullison shared. “It wasn’t going to be anything further than that, but then Justin Tucker kicked a 66-yard field goal, and we thought, ‘OK, we’re going to keep this going until we win a Super Bowl.'”
Cullison has reserved a special spot for a Super Bowl tattoo. “My back is empty, beside my one shoulder, so there’s enough space to make it special,” he said, hinting at a future design if the Ravens capture the championship this year.
