A local tattoo studio in Boston is attracting attention after receiving a surprise visit from two of Hollywood’s biggest stars.
In November, Zendaya and Tom Holland, two of the entertainment industry’s most well-known actors, stopped by the Boston Tattoo Company for an impromptu visit.
“They were just your average young couple,” said Jason Zube, the owner of the studio, speaking to WBZ NewsRadio. “They were fantastic to deal with.” Zube explained that the encounter was unremarkable in its normalcy, “minus the fame.”
The celebrity couple opted for matching tattoos during their visit, with Zendaya receiving a small “T” and Holland a “Z.” Both tattoos were designed by artist Lily Jarnyrd.
Initially, the shop kept their visit private, but the secrecy was broken when Zendaya’s tattoo was spotted at the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, along with a noticeable engagement ring.
This marks the most memorable celebrity encounter for the Boston Tattoo Company, although Zube noted that famous clientele have visited in the past.
“We’ve had some pretty famous folks in here, but I would say this was the biggest by far,” Zube shared.
Zendaya was in Boston at the time filming her new movie, The Drama, which also stars Robert Pattinson. The movie’s release date has yet to be announced.
As the Boston Tattoo Company celebrates its 20th anniversary, Zube reflected on the experience with gratitude. “It was our pleasure to have them, and they were very cooperative with us. We treat everybody the same way,” he said.
