Power Girl’s latest tattoo redesign has solidified her reputation as the Super-Family’s ultimate rebel. Fans are eagerly hoping DC will make this change permanent, as a tattooed Paige Stetler brings a fresh, bold look. The design not only looks striking but may also reference one of her most unusual and brief relationships with a classic Justice League member.
In the recent issue of Superman, by Joshua Williamson and Jamal Campbell, the story marked the final tie-in for the Absolute Power crisis event. It also signaled Campbell’s last issue as lead artist before Dan Mora took over the series.
While these milestones make the issue significant, it’s Nathan Szerdy’s variant cover that truly stands out. It features a tattooed Power Girl, showcasing one of her most memorable redesigns yet. This cover is part of Szerdy’s ‘Diner Tattoo Connecting Variants’ series, which pairs with his cover for Superman #19, where Supergirl also sports a bold tattooed appearance.
Like Supergirl, Power Girl is illustrated with full-sleeve tattoos covering her arms. However, her tattoos display a unique collection of heroes and symbols, although there is some overlap. Among the characters depicted in Paige’s tattoos are Wonder Woman, Green Lantern Arisia Rrab, Mera, Supergirl, Batman, Batgirl, Damian Wayne’s Robin, Miss Martian, Jayna the Wonder Twin, and Green Lantern Hal Jordan. The vibrant backgrounds and stars filling the spaces between her tattoos create a cohesive and eye-catching design.
