After an extensive journey of 95 shows across eight months, Olivia Rodrigo concluded her GUTS World Tour in Sydney, Australia. To celebrate this milestone, she chose to get matching tattoos with friends.
On October 24, Rodrigo shared a heartfelt letter on her Instagram, reflecting on her second tour. “That’s a wrap on the GUTS World Tour! 95 shows, 22 countries, and a few matching tattoos! Words cannot describe how lucky I feel to have traveled the world performing these songs with such an extraordinary group of people,” she wrote.
She expressed gratitude to her fans, saying, “Thank you so much to everyone who bought a ticket and sang and screamed with me. Sharing these nights with you has been a real honor. If you missed the show or want to relive it, the concert film comes out on Netflix on October 29.”
In subsequent posts, Rodrigo shared photos from her tour, including a snapshot with dancer Alex White, both showcasing their matching tattoos. The tattoos feature a thin, black outline of a five-pointed star, a prominent symbol throughout the GUTS tour.
White’s star is inked on the inside of her upper arm, while Rodrigo opted for a tattoo on the side of her middle finger. This choice is surprising, given her past experiences with finger tattoos.
In 2022, Rodrigo got a matching tattoo with friends, choosing a heart outline on her pinky finger. However, she later joked that it looked more like a “smudged Sharpie” than a heart, and didn’t truly consider it a tattoo.
While finger tattoos typically fade faster due to friction, Rodrigo’s new placement seems like an improvement. Fans hope this one lasts longer than her previous tattoo.
