Love Affair Bookstore will host tattoo artists from Company Ink Tattoo Studio, offering guests a chance to get small “book-inspired tattoos.” The event will include refreshments and giveaways. Attendees can choose from small 2-by-2 inch tattoos for $50, which will be done in black ink. Guests can select designs from flash cards or bring their own ideas. Tattoos will be done on a first-come, first-serve basis, so arrive early!
West Texas Winds Fall Recital

Enjoy an evening of classical music at the West Texas Winds’ fall recital. The program will feature performances of Peter Schickele’s “A Year in the Catskills,” Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Concerto No. 2 After Vivaldi,” and Heinrich Kaspar Schmid’s “Woodwind Quintet, Op. 28.” The recital will showcase talented musicians, including Caryn Crutchfield, Chris Chance, Philip Hill, Lyndsay Eiben, Sonja K. Millichamp, and Scott Millichamp. Tickets are available for $25 for adults and $12 for students.
Midland YMCA Monster Bash
Location: Midland YMCA, 800 N. Big Spring St.

Join the fun at the Midland YMCA’s annual Monster Bash carnival! Guests are encouraged to come dressed in their best Halloween costumes for a night filled with entertainment. Tickets are $10 per person, while children aged 2 and under can enter for free. This year’s festivities will include a silent disco, spook house, pumpkin painting, face painting, bingo, music, an obstacle course, and a mad scientist show.
