Riley Keough Reflects on Her Tattoos: Sentimental and Regretful

by Jessica

Riley Keough, the granddaughter of Elvis Presley, has a mixed view of her tattoos. While she cherishes some designs, particularly those shared with her late mother and brother, she also has regrets about her first tattoo.

In a recent appearance on NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers, the 35-year-old actress discussed her feelings toward her body art. She plans to remove the Gemini tattoo on her finger, which she got at age 17. “I often put rings on it… It was kind of a moment,” Keough said, hinting at her regrets. However, some of her tattoos carry deep sentimental meaning.

In her memoir, From Here to the Great Unknown, which she finished after her mother, Lisa Marie Presley, passed away, Keough used tattoos as symbols to represent different voices. One of these symbols comes from a tattoo she shares with her mother and late brother, Benjamin Keough, who tragically died by suicide in 2020. To honor him, Riley had his name tattooed on her collarbone, serving as a touching reminder of their connection.
