Sims 4 Fans Get Creative with New Tattoo Feature and Doja Cat Designs

by Jessica

EA’s The Sims 4 has recently introduced an exciting tattoo feature as part of the Businesses & Hobbies Expansion Pack, which launched on March 6. While the expansion brings various new ways for Sims to pursue businesses, hobbies, and skills, it’s the tattoo feature that’s taking the spotlight. Fans have been experimenting with this addition in ways that go far beyond simple ink designs, showcasing their creative flair.

As part of the update, EA has collaborated with rapper and artist Doja Cat to add three exclusive tattoo designs to the game: a Renaissance statue head, two crossed swords, and a spider. The latter, which holds significant meaning for Doja Cat, is a personal tribute to her first tattoo—a spider symbolizing both femininity and her personal battle with fear. For players who enjoy unique customization options, this collaboration offers an exciting new way to express creativity within the game.

Along with these official Doja Cat tattoos, the expansion allows players to upload their own custom designs or mix existing ones. Notably, tattoos can be layered up to five times, offering almost endless possibilities for customization. But it’s not just about creating tattoos anymore—Sims fans are getting truly inventive.

Some players have been using the tattoo feature to apply elements that aren’t traditionally associated with tattoos, like makeup and sideburns. Reddit user Melatonin_Gummies_ used the tattoo feature to create subtle eye makeup on their Sims, although they mentioned wanting a “mirror” option to better align symmetrical designs. Another creative user, InterviewLeast2278, embraced the feature to add distinctive sideburns to their Sims, commenting that while they lack the artistic skills to create intricate tattoos, they can still add their signature sideburns to every character they design.

In addition to these innovations, players can share their tattoo creations in the game’s gallery for others to explore and download. Whether it’s adding piercings, makeup, or quirky designs, the tattoo feature has opened up a new realm of artistic possibilities within The Sims 4.

The tattoo update, coupled with the Doja Cat collaboration, marks just the latest in EA’s continued effort to enhance The Sims 4 with more avenues for personal expression and creativity. As players continue to experiment with these features, it’s clear that the tattoo feature will remain a focal point for some of the game’s most inventive and playful fan creations.
