Thousands of tattoo enthusiasts and artists gathered this weekend for the 17th annual Baltimore Tattoo Arts Festival, held at the Baltimore Convention Center from March 7 to March 9. Event organizers reported an impressive turnout, with between 17,000 and 20,000 people attending over the three-day event.
The festival showcased the latest tattoo designs and a variety of other attractions. In addition to the art, attendees were able to explore jewelry and merchandise from various vendors throughout the weekend.
One notable vendor, Cruella Morgan, highlighted the event’s focus on mental health awareness within the tattoo community. “This is a place where everyone fits in,” Morgan said. “It’s a big family—everyone has someone to connect with, whether it’s within the tattoo industry or mental health. No one is ever alone.”
The festival wrapped up on Sunday evening at 8 p.m. Children under 12 received free admission. More details about the convention can be found on the official website.
Baltimore Ravens Superfan Marks Wins with Tattoos
Nic Cullison, a dedicated Baltimore Ravens fan, continued his tradition of adding tattoos to celebrate his team’s victories. Since 2021, Cullison has marked each Ravens’ win with a new piece of body art.
Following the Ravens’ 28-14 playoff win over the Pittsburgh Steelers last January, Cullison added a special tattoo designed by his wife, Naomi. The artwork, which reads “Lamazing,” honors quarterback Lamar Jackson’s impressive performance, including two touchdowns and 81 rushing yards.
Cullison is eagerly awaiting a Super Bowl victory to add to his growing collection of tattoos. “My back is still a blank canvas, with just my one shoulder done, so there’s plenty of space to make it special,” he said.
