Jessica Alba is embracing a new chapter in her life following her recent divorce from Cash Warren, using a fresh tattoo as a symbolic marker of her transformation.
The actress, who filed for divorce from her husband of 16 years in January, shared a glimpse into her evolving mindset on social media. On February 26, Alba posted a series of photos and videos on Instagram, including a close-up of her latest tattoo. The delicate cursive script on her right forearm reads, “Life is transformation is life.” Celebrity tattoo artist Winterstone, who inked the design, clarified that the phrase is meant to be understood as “Life is transformation, transformation is life.”
The post, captioned “The current chapter,” also highlighted other aspects of Alba’s life during this transitional time. She included pictures of her three children—Honor, 16; Haven, 13; and Hayes, 7—along with a video of her workout routine. Alongside these personal snapshots, Alba shared inspirational messages that reflect her current outlook, such as, “You spend most of your life inside your head. Make it a nice place to be,” and, “Life is to be lived—not controlled.”
Alba, the founder of The Honest Company, has been open about her journey of self-growth throughout her marriage and the subsequent separation from Warren. In a January 16 Instagram post, which has since been deleted, she expressed pride in how she and Warren had grown together over the past two decades, but noted that it was time to embark on their own individual journeys.
Despite their split, Alba has emphasized that their family remains a priority. “We are moving forward with love, kindness, and respect for each other and will forever be family,” she wrote. “Our children remain our highest priority, and we request privacy at this time.”
