Zendaya turned heads at the 2025 Golden Globe Awards, but it wasn’t just her stunning fashion choices that caught fans’ attention. The actress, known for her role in Dune, appeared to debut a new tattoo during the event — one that fans believe could be a tribute to her boyfriend, Tom Holland.
The 28-year-old actress arrived at the red carpet wearing a striking custom copper-colored Louis Vuitton dress, paired with a bold red bob. However, it was a small, subtle tattoo on her side that quickly became the talk of social media. The ink appeared to be the lowercase letter “T,” which many speculated could be a nod to her Spider-Man co-star and longtime partner, Tom Holland.
Adding fuel to the fire, Zendaya was seen wearing an eye-catching diamond ring on her left hand, prompting further speculation that Holland, 28, might have proposed. Social media erupted with fans reacting to the apparent engagement news.
Zendaya’s reps, as well as Holland’s, did not respond to Page Six’s request for comment regarding the tattoo or the engagement rumors.
While it’s unclear when Zendaya got the tattoo, some fans noticed she may have first debuted it during the 2024 Gotham Film Awards last month. At that time, the tattoo appeared to be concealed under makeup as she wore a sleek white Louis Vuitton dress.
This new body art marks a change for Zendaya, who previously stated in 2019 that she had no intention of getting a tattoo. In an interview with Allure, she shared, “I love tattoos. But I don’t want any.” However, she did mention being open to getting one with her Euphoria co-star Hunter Schafer, revealing they had plans to get matching tattoos of the word “rules” on the inside of their lips.
Holland, for his part, has his own tattoo as a tribute to his Spider-Man role: a spider inked on the bottom of his foot.
Zendaya and Holland have been romantically linked since July 2021, when they were seen sharing a kiss after years of playing each other’s love interests in Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017). Though the couple has kept their relationship largely private, they have fueled engagement speculation in the past. Zendaya was photographed wearing a ring on her left hand for her April 2024 Vogue cover, and in 2023, she was spotted wearing a gold signet ring with “TH” engraved.
As fans continue to speculate about their relationship, it’s clear Zendaya and Holland are a couple who prefer to keep their personal lives under wraps — even as their public appearances continue to spark excitement and curiosity.
