Charles Jourdain is set to make his debut in the Bantamweight division at UFC Edmonton this weekend, facing Victor Henry on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
Ahead of the fight, Jourdain showcased his stunning new pirate tattoo on social media last week, generating buzz among fans. With many impressive back tattoos in the UFC—like those of Tom Aspinall, Alexander Volkov, Sean Brady, and Cody Garbrandt—Jourdain’s design is quickly becoming a favorite. While opinions on art vary, the originality of his tattoo stands out.
Currently, Jourdain is looking to bounce back from a two-fight losing streak, including a knockout loss to Jean Silva in his last match. As he transitions to the Bantamweight class, he explained the reasoning behind the move on Twitter.
“I will be performing at bantamweight. My walk-around weight is 155. In camp, I’m 152 max. Last weight cut, I had 2 pounds to water cut after the UFC protocol. I’ve always been a small featherweight but have performed well due to my explosive muscle fiber,” Jourdain stated.
